87% of “Molly” analyzed by the DEA between 2009 and 2013 contained 0% MDMA, instead mostly containing “bath salts.”

  • MDA
  • Caffeine
  • Amphetamine/Methamphetamine
  • Cathinones such as methylone, eutylone (bk-EBDB), N-ethyl pentylone, a-PVP, 4-fluoro-3-methyl-alpha-PVP, mephedrone (4-MMC or MCAT), butylone

Before testing there’s a few first tips that we recommend.

  • Ensure you are in a well-ventilated area, wearing gloves and eye protection
  • Using a clean utensil, mix your sample well
  • Place a very small amount of your sample (about 3mg, or a few grains/crystals for each test) on a white plate (ceramic or glass is best, avoid plastics and paper)
  • If using multiple reagents, separate the sample into several small piles about 2-3 inches apart
  • Ensure the cap is well secured, and then gently shake the reagent

Carefully open the reagent bottle and allow 1 drop of the reagent to fall onto one sample pile. Make sure the sample does not touch the tip of the bottle, otherwise your reagent could become contaminated!
Wait 30 seconds for full color development
Compare the color on the plate to the expected color using the results application
Use this result to determine the next reagent to use
Continue with testing until the substance(s) present have been narrowed down to your satisfaction

Above and beyond!

Great service

Fast shipping. Excellent customer service – they were very helpful when I had questions. Seem like good folks. Test worked as it should!

Quick delivery and the product works as intended/advertised. Website of Thehup contains a lot of detailed information how the testkits should react with all substances. Very much recommended!

What are testkits?

Testkits are chemical solutions, which react to substances and form colors depending on which substance it’s reacting to.

How do I use testkits?

There are three steps in using a testkit,
1: Prepare a tiny (Approximately the size of a matchstick head, or grain of rice) bit of your drug on a white ceramic plate or mug.
2: Open your bottle and tilt your bottle over the sample so a drop falls on it.
3: Look at the color reaction that occurs and search for your result at results.thehup.org

Which test kit do I need?

Don’t know exactly what you need? Marquis is a common first testkit to use, and suitable for substances like Cocaine, MDMA, Amphetamine and more. We also have Substance specific Testkits which you can find here.

If you want to test psychedelics such as LSD, DMT or mushrooms then the Ehrlich Test Kit is what you need, further testing with other reagents is necessary to be able to conclude which substance it is as Ehrlich only reveals that it is an substance within the indole drug class.

Looking for a more comprehensive test? Our 7-in-1 Complete Test Kit includes an selection of reagents with the most logged reactions, giving you the best chance at finding out what is in your sample and possible adulterations.

How long do testkits last?

One year is to be expected in optimal storage conditions but shelf life varies with each reagent as well as to what conditions you have stored them.

Keep the test kits out of light, in cold storage and do not leave the bottles un-capped any longer than necessary.

To see if your test-kit is still valid after long term storage test common substances like Vitamin C, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Paracetamol or any known substances (i.e an sample you know for sure is a certain substance) and see if the reaction is correct in reference to our reagent tool
